Jastin Martin

Understated and emotionally open ballads are the specialty of Houston-based contemporary R&B artist Jastin Martin. Active since the late 2010s, the self-taught singer/songwriter and guitarist started independently with self-produced singles and EPs such as XVIII (2019) and Growing Pains (2021) before signing with Def Jam. Martin's initial output for the major label included fresh versions of a couple previously released songs and the typically spare "Hurt Before." Miss Me Yet? (2023), her more collaborative debut album, followed shortly thereafter. The follow-up Spin the Block (2024) likewise mixed new compositions with updates of old material. Martin has since released a handful of singles including the philosophical ballad "Clear Skies" (2025).
