In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I saw Rick James play "You and I" on a TV show before I was a musician. The next day I was visiting a pal who had a bass with only two strings on it. I was able to pick out the "You and I" bass line by ear and had a blast. That's when I knew! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Miles Davis, We Want Miles (Live - 2022 Remaster) Mother's Finest, Mother's Finest Live (Live) The Meters, The Meters These albums are all in my musical DNA. Each was revelatory and explosive for me. They are genre-expanding moments with these bands operating at their artistic peak. There's a strong funk current through each but blended with jazz, rock, and soul. Moses Mo, Crispin Cioe & Doug Hinrichs)” I love the spirit of collaboration on this track. All of the musicians here are masters of their craft and are playing deeply in the pocket. It makes me want to dance around the room each time I hear it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing, singing, and conducting the band for Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave) live at the Tokyo Jazz Fest for 5,000 of our closest friends and broadcast on TV. Sam was in rare form. The band was on fire. And the crowd ate up every note! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is always more to achieve! I look forward to bigger shows, wider exposure, TV appearances, songs placed on soundtracks, and just generally enjoying the privilege to continue what I love to do, creating music with my friends.
