Ak4:20

AK4:20 is the alias of Chilean urban artist Bastián D'Amonte, who started writing his own material and in 2019 released his first single and album, both titled Modo Aladdin, introducing audiences to his fast, hard-hitting rapping. A turning point for the Chliean rap scene came in 2022 with "Me Arrepentí," a track that united three of the genre's rising stars (AK4:20, Cris MJ, and Pailita), and became the first Chilean urban hit to surpass the 100-million play mark. That same year AK4:20 also contributed to Feid's "Malibu," which fared even better. Initially closer to a more aggressive, street-oriented trap style, by this time he had become a more versatile performer, often breaching into melodic reggaeton and its usual hedonistic, aspirational lyrics.
