In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Having grown up in the church, the first sound I heard was gospel music—the choir's melodies, sometimes paired with the rhythmic incantation of the preacher. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Maverick City Music, Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition Nina Simone, The Essential Nina Simone Yussef Dayes, The Yussef Dayes Experience Live at Joshua Tree (Presented by Soulection) - EP I listen to these albums over and over again, and each time I hear something new. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording my first studio album with collaborators I respect and admire. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? More tours and being included on fierce festival and concert lineups.
