Bea Lorenzo

Kalimba-playing marvel Bea Lorenzo resisted a songwriting career for years, working as a music writer and riding Ikot jeeps at university in Manila until the need to create took hold. US-born and raised in a family of doctors, Lorenzo went against the grain to pursue her passion, first crafting pop covers on kalimba and later rekindling her love of the keyboard after a stint at the Elements Music Camp. She eventually burst out of her shell to produce emotive, soulful tracks that conjured her diverse loves—alternative R&B, showtunes, and hints of her 13 years training in classical ballet.
