Ambrose Akinmusire, When the Heart Emerges Glistening Walter Smith III, Still Casual Wayne Shorter, Speak No Evil (Rudy Van Gelder Edition) (Remastered) I remember exactly where I was when I first heard each of these records—and how they made me feel. It's a love letter to many people I hold dear. Of all the songs I’ve written, it best captures the elements of music I love—I hear my love for the Carpenters as much as my love for Coltrane, held in perfect balance.
