Country singer Jessica Andrews was only 15 years old when her 1999 debut album, HEART SHAPED WORLD, was released, but she already had a powerful voice that belied her youth. She proved precocious as a hitmaker as well, scoring four hit singles from the album. Her next two albums proved to be even more successful, and along the way she crossed over into the rock/pop world, recording duets with Richard Marx and even Bret Michaels, singer for pop-metal kings Poison. In retrospect, Andrews’ success seems to have prefigured the arrival of teen country sensations like Taylor Swift.
