In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I bought my first acoustic guitar at age 18 and began immediately learning chords and writing songs, within 6 months I had written over 20 songs and knew the path for my life would be music What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Earth, Wind & Fire, The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire Steely Dan, The Very Best of Steely Dan Stevie Wonder, The Complete Stevie Wonder I have always musically gravitated towards music with a groove feel and I also love to listen to the intricate musical hooks going on around the song structure and there is no better example of that than Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan and EWF Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Kettle Creek” This song represents people who were willing to sacrifice all for the betterment of future generations. One of the people in the song is a distant relative in some capacity and so their sacrifice paved the way directly for our daily freedoms What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Producing and recording music on Dolly Parton she is an amazing talent and great person Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm blessed with an amazing music career working with many well known artists, film and TV shows and having 17 #1's on Billboard, winning and being nominated for Emmy's Grammy's and Dove awards, I still want to write a Broadway musical, coming soon.
