Cool Jerks

About Cool Jerks

Unfolding a restless combination of garage and rock and roll, the Cool Jerks bring out some new vigor for the blistering indie and punk rock arena. The Cool Jerks formed in 2001, with a line-up consisting of Scott Rogers (bass), guitarists Dave Boyer and Forrest Hewes, both formerly playing with the Neckbones, and drummer Jack Yarber, also a member of the Oblivians and of the Compulsive Gamblers. Following the dissolution of the Neckbones, and after a period playing together, Rogers and Boyer decide to call up the rest of the crew to work on the band's debut album. Cleaned Up a Lot of Plates In Memphis, the Cool Jerks debut album, hit the record stores in July 2002 trough the Sympathy For the Record Industry label. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
