Michael Pluznick

This New Jersey native has been fascinated with percussion since childhood. Like Mickey Hart, Pluznick has gone beyond Western traditions in his lifelong pursuit of the magic of rhythm. His music weaves electronic drums and synthesized melodies with a vast collection of ethnic instruments and rhythms hailing primarily from Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. ~ Linda Kohanov
