Wrekonize

Coming up through Florida's battle rap circuit, Ben Miller dropped his debut mixtape, The Chaotic Knowledge Sessions, in 2001. Two years later he entered contract negotiations with Roc-A-Fella but as the deal slowly crumbled, Wrekonize moved on to South Beat and dropped the mixtape The Waiting Room in 2006. The mixtape Elevator Music followed in 2007, while 2009 saw Wrekonize joining fellow South Beat artists Mayday! on their Lords of the Fly mixtape. After an appearance on Tech N9ne's album Welcome to Strangeland, Mayday! signed with Tech's label Strange Music and released their official debut, Take Me to Your Leader, in 2012. The label released Wrekonize's solo effort, The War Within, in 2013. ~ David Jeffries
