About Ginny Owens
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I still remember the first song I ever wrote—for a friend in sixth grade who was battling a brain tumor. I couldn’t take away her pain, but I could write something to remind her she wasn’t alone. I learned then that music holds both grief and hope. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amy Grant, Age to Age Carole King, Tapestry Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life Age to Age was the album that first made me want to write music. Songs in the Key of Life blew my mind and made me fall in love with music that grooves and lifts the soul. Carole taught me that simplicity can be powerful when every lyric rings true. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “On Repeat” I’ve learned that the song in our head often becomes the rhythm of our life. On Repeat is an anthem for choosing a melody of hope—a reminder to fill our hearts and minds with truth and joy, even when life is hard. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I’ll never forget walking into the studio to record my first album. I was nervous—surrounded by pro musicians waiting for me to start. Once we began playing, the fear melted into joy. Recording with live musicians still feels like the best day ever. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to create a collaborative concert in New York City that helps people rediscover joy through music. Imagine a room full of voices singing, learning, and laughing together—because music has a way of bringing light wherever it’s shared.
