In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. During a Sunday night church service when I was 3, my dad brought me up on stage to sing "Jesus Loves Me" with him. I was shy, despite there only being a handful of people present at the rural church's evening service. My dad helped me through it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Downward, Downward (2) From Indian Lakes, Able Bodies mewithoutYou, Catch for Us the Foxes Releasing a good debut album is hard, but pushing forward and making a great sophomore album is even harder. Each of these albums shows how doubling down on your instincts and what worked on the first record can make the follow up even more special. Tell us why you chose this song. “What's Left of Life?” After the loss of my dad, I felt lost and confused, and being open about that and writing this song helped me see a path forward. This song became the thesis statement to our first album. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time we played with Delta Sleep, we didn't know what to expect. I had been a fan since Twin Galaxies came out, but had never seen them live. As we sound checked, we noticed a long time forming outside. Playing to a full room was insane. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We'd love to head out on tour in support of any of our favorite bands. We've played and toured with tons of friends, but taking the step to supporting a bigger band on tour will be exciting.
