Best-selling Indonesian alt-rockers peterpan first hit it big with their debut single “Mimpi Yang Sempurna” in 2003. The song typifies the classic peterpan sound—poetic lyricism, irresistibly catchy melodies and frontman Ariel’s now-iconic, gruffly emotive voice—a formula that sent the Bandung-bred six-piece to the highest ranks of rock stardom throughout the 2000s. Contractual disputes and member switch-ups prompted the band to rebrand as Noah in 2012, leaving the peterpan name forever young.
