Hey Karen

About Hey Karen

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 10, I finally saved enough money from my allowance to purchase my first CD. I went to a local record store, and a hand-drawn flash of muted green caught my eye. It was the self-titled album by Gorillas, and I was a changed person. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jamie Woon, Making Time Late of the Pier, Fantasy Black Channel Sleigh Bells, Jessica Rabbit If there's one thing I love the most about music, it's the sense of adventure. There's nothing worse than a musical piece that doesn't want to uncover something new, something fun. Those albums definitely have a yearning for an adventure. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the best things that happened to me was sharing the stage with my local heroes, one of my favorite Polish bands, Rebeka. It was an honor and truly a magical evening. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to have an audience that gets me and understands the vibes I create. I want to flow around a local indie scene and be an ephemeral cryptid in your neighborhood bar. Achieving that status would make me complete.
