R. Missing

Prolific yet mysterious duo R. Missing make lonesome, wintry electronic pop. Previously active as part of dark post-punk band the Ropes, Sharon Shy and Toppy relaunched as R. Missing, first appearing with the darkwave EP Unsummering in 2017. They resurfaced with additional material a few years later, and shifted to a more danceable electronic sound while maintaining the shadowy, isolated tone of their earlier work. After issuing the singles compilation Knife Shook Your Hand in 2024, R. Missing released the full-length Like the Sound of Injured Love in 2025.
