About Palehorse/Palerider
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Formed in 2012, the band has gained a reputation in Denver for crafting haunting, immersive soundscapes that blend crushing riffs, intricate rhythms, creating a sonic experience. Playing dive bars and unique stages the band grew because of the fans. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cocteau Twins, Heaven Or Las Vegas (Remastered) Hum, Inlet Jesu, Ascension (Deluxe) Drawing on a array of influences from the ethereal, atmospheric qualities of shoegaze pioneers like Cocteau Twins, to the heavy, brooding sound of Jesu and Hum. Each band provides raw, immersive intensity that we want to share as well through music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Into the Abyss” This song defines Doomgaze. Song is from our LP Burial Songs. 'Into The Abyss' showcased the band's ability to merge crushing heaviness with ethereal beauty. We play it every show creating a sound that was both emotionally raw and sonically expansive What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We self-produced and released our debut LP album, Burial Songs, on February 4, 2017. The album quickly garnered significant praise, marking a defining moment in the evolution of Doomgaze. Echos and Dust voted Burial Songs as their Record of the Year. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We have tons of shows to play and artists to connect with. Id love to open for Slowdive someday, or open for Massive Attack. Last bucket list moment would be to just meet Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins to just say thank you to her.
