SOG

Founded in 2015 by guitarist Doyle Bright, formerly of Rigor Mortis and Hallows Eve, among other metal outfits over the prior three decades, SOG (Special Ops Group) is a thrash metal band out of Atlanta, Georgia. Self-described as "harder, faster, louder," the lineup also included guitarist Alan Strange, bass player Kenny Wofford, and drummer Dane Jensen. Their debut album, The Gift of Aggression, arrived via Hallows Eve Media in the summer of 2015. After issuing the follow-up, 2016's God Complex, SOG signed with Germany's Violent Creek Records, which gave the LP a multi-format international release in March 2017. ~ Marcy Donelson
