About Lee Venora

Lee Venora was a popular and attractive American soprano. She sang such operatic roles as Mimì, was most famous on records as a participant in Leonard Bernstein's Columbia recording of Mahler's Second Symphony, and sang and recorded the lead roles in revivals of the musicals Kismet and Carousel at Lincoln Center.
