About ChanSus

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was born in Indonesia and learned to play piano since very young age, but quit due to lack of interest. Encouraged by the family, I picked up acoustic guitar and fell deep with it ever since. I started to write songs since I was 14. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amos Lee, Amos Lee John Mayer, Battle Studies Norah Jones, Come Away With Me I grew up listening to Norah Jones a lot. Amos Lee came along during the same time, with similar musical color to Norah. John Mayer meanwhile sets a benchmark as all time favorite singer-songwriter. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Father's Love” A song written for my 4 years old son. Recognizing I'm not a perfect father and knowing Jesus will love him perfectly, gives me rest. Loving and caring for my son help me to learn about God's love for me too. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first big musical performance was during high school when my class performed for a drama, I was acting as a musician to sing "yesterday" by the Beatles over a guitar. For the 1st time in my life cheered by >2000 crowds right after singin the song. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I really long to sing duet with a female singer-songwriter, singing heartfelt folksy song like "Easy as a rain" by The Little Willies, performing in front of a small crowds that are passionate about the same type of music.
