About Cry Kestrel

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember finishing my first EP, "All Mad," while in college. That EP was the first body of work that truly felt complete, both musically and in production. It was a special project that jump-started my work under the name Cry Kestrel. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Wilds Return” This is the final song on my EP "Soulburned." This song was tied off my most collaborative project yet - I knew I wanted it to feel both deep and beautiful as it drew from motifs throughout the EP. This song just felt right as soon as I finished it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My final time performing in college was a blast -- it was a moment that is ingrained in my memory as I watched the crowd react to not only the songs I chose form other musicians, but my own songs alongside them. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To be able to make art and be happy.
