In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Singing and Acting have always gone hand in hand for me. My first time singing on stage was as one of the kids in the ensemble of the revival of Showboat, in Toronto before it went to New York. Best after school job of all time. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Musiq Soulchild, Aijuswanaseing Soundgarden, Superunknown (20th Anniversary) These three albums hit when I was a teen - I loved the interesting time signatures of Soundgarden and Chris Cornell's incredible voice, Lauryn Hill made an album with NO skips IMO, and I loved and leaned into the way Musiq sang behind the beat.
