In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 12, I played in a jazz band with my dad on banjo. Nervous, I paced outside before the performance to calm down. But once the music started, my nerves disappeared, and it turned into such a fun experience, making me love sharing music with others. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Claudio Abbado, London Symphony Orchestra, Stravinsky: Le Sacre du Printemps - The Firebird - Pétrouchka - Pulcinella - Jeu de Cartes John Coltrane, A Love Supreme Kenny Garrett, Standard of Language Coltrane opens the sky with spiritual depth and brilliance. Tell us why you chose this song. “One Eyed Felix” It's a funny story: I wrote this tune for a one-eyed cat, but it turned out to be a dog! :) What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring the Netherlands with David Murray. My Joris Posthumus Quartet for my first North Sea Jazz gig. Touring China and doing an album tour with my Japanese band at the Okinawa Jazz Festival.
