In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 7, my grandmother had just passed and the piano is where I figured out how to express my feelings of sadness and hurt. I played a song from memory at a recital and it felt like music was a safe space for me and it always has been. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? SZA, Ctrl SZA has a flow that no one else does. It’s a constant flow of thoughts, an invitation into her world and mind. I was in a bad place in life when CTRL came out and the album felt like a friend when I’d listen to it. She makes it that personal.
