Kaien Cruz

Durban singer/songwriter and guitarist Kaien Cruz got her big break when Wolfpack X label founder Aewon Wolf discovered one of her Instagram videos. She has been on a rollercoaster journey ever since. Cruz’s growing catalogue includes collaborations with producer Sketchy Bongo—their “Love Me in the Dark” earned a 2018 South African Music Awards nomination—and rapper Nasty C on “Everything”. Her solo EP, 2017’s Mansion Mind, cleverly fuses a pop approach with infectious electronic beats, resulting in a vibe that flickers with snazzy, summery melodies from beginning to end.
