In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was six, my family had an old Thorens turntable that went down to 16rpm. I loved the song Elvira by the Oak Ridge Boys, my parents had the 45. I would take the breakdown and listen to it over and over at 16rpm, trying to get the deepest bass.
