In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Going to my first folk concert at a local coffee shop in Upstate New York. The way the songwriter told stories about the songs, I felt like I was on an episode of Storytellers (VH1). It felt like that was the way concerts were supposed to be What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, SABLE, fABLE Jackson Browne, Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1 Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill The Miseducation shaped my love for deep-thinking hip-hop—I’ve bought it 5 times. Bon Iver’s latest takes me back to his early sound. Just discovering Jackson Browne and loving his solo live stuff. Tell us why you chose this song. “Louise, Can You See Anna?” I was fortunate to have one of the greatest fiddlers of all time, Michael Cleveland, play on this record. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It was a special moment getting to play at the Freshgrass Festival in Massachusetts back in 2017. I had been nominated for the No Depression Singer/Songwriter award and got to meet so many of my favorite artists! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think every folk musician's dream is to play the Newport Folk Festival someday. Count me in.
