In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Randall Wicomb a renowned SA artist, heard a recording of a performance I did. Impressed he arranged to meet my parents, I was 11 at the time. He invited me to tour SA with his production, 'Oos Wes Tuis Bes', kickstarting my entertainment career. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fleetwood Mac, Rumours Super Deluxe Edition Laura Mvula, Sing to the Moon Queen, Queen: Greatest Hits Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" is my go-to for unwinding. Queen's "Greatest Hits" showcases their unmatched use of voice and diverse genres. Laura Mvula's "Sing To The Moon" captivates with its transparent songwriting and dreamy jazz soundscapes. Tell us why you chose this song. “Let Me Be Me” I love this song as it speaks about celebrating diversity and being your most authentic self. In my journey towards self-acceptance I have learned to embrace not only my own flaws but also those of others. It’s what makes us unique. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2011, I performed at the 7th Annual World AIDS Day Gala Concert held in Cape Town. I was sharing the stage with SA legends such as Vicky Sampson and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. It was one of the very few moments where I have been star struck. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list includes playing major festivals to inspire positivity. A dream collaboration would be with Coldplay's Chris Martin, known for music-driven social impact. I aim to work with artists who share this vision for meaningful music-making.
