Mitylion

Mitylion is a solo project from New Jersey musician Ari Katz, best known for his work fronting the influential hardcore band Lifetime along with ventures like Zero Zero and Miss TK & the Revenge. In 2011, as Hurricane Irene bore down on his home in coastal Asbury Park, Katz sent his family inland while he stayed behind to look after his house. While weathering the brutal storm, Katz began writing the material that would eventually make up Mitylion's debut. Though musically informed by hardcore and punk, his work with Mitylion incorporates a variety of different styles and sounds like glitchy synths, vintage soul, warm beachside vibes, and jagged pop. Nite Flite, Katz's debut as Mitylion, was released in 2015. ~ Timothy Monger
