About Clay Dub
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The 1st talent show I did a solo performance, was in 5th grade. Sang "I believe I can Fly" well before Kelz was cancelled. I never had a body of people stand and cheer for me alone. Caught in the moment, I threw my "end of show" rose into the crowd. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, The Off-Season Kendrick Lamar, DAMN. T-Pain, Epiphany T-Pain's Epiphany; he was coming off the hottest hook/feature run, north of the late OG, Nate Dogg. Buy U a Drank & Bartender are hits STILL! Dot & Cole's most well put together work by my account. Grind mode ON when playing these albums ON repeat! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “On Call (feat. Agyemansta)” Agyemansta and I have been making music together since age 11. We throw each other alley-oops with hooks, beats, etc.. I told him he didn't send me beats anymore; while this beat was sitting unread in my inbox for months. First ever TV/SYNC placement What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Big affirmation on my journey was hearing my song "bigger" on ESPN First Take. I submitted for the opportunity, however I didn't know the details. 3 months later Ric Flair is shouting "woo" over my song in the background of a segment! God is Good! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I do have a few things on my bucket list: Go on an actual TOUR, multiple cities, states, countries; Fly my shareholders to a "thank you" event somewhere exotic, and celebrate them AND with them; Meet or open for Usher; and sit in on a KDot session.
