Michael Hofstetter

Michael Hofstetter is a conductor noted for his performances in authentic period style. In addition to performing, he has had a long career as a theatrical and festival music director and as an educator as well. Hofstetter's repertory is large, running from Baroque music to operetta to contemporary music, and it has been reflected in his large variety of recordings. His catalog includes a 2025 performance of Handel's Brockes Passion, released on the Naxos label.
