儘管專輯《Into the Night》的製作過程一波三折，搖滾樂團 The Monotones In The Basement 最終還是憑藉它，斬獲韓國大眾音樂獎。樂團的靈魂人物是 90 年代韓國最早一批獨立搖滾樂手，他以嫻熟的吉他技巧搭配主唱充滿現代感的聲線，將 50 年代的美國 Rockabilly 和龐克搖滾等激烈元素，以更浪漫和複雜的風格呈現。而扭曲貝斯和密集鼓點營造出的緊張氛圍與反叛力量則恰到好處，凸顯了樂團掌控能力。
