Get Soca 2017
Various Artists
U.S. pop acts may be adding spicy soca beats to their singles (and making inroads on the charts in the process), but these fresh Caribbean hits come straight from the source. Machel Montano’s EDM-friendly “Wake Up” is as energetic as a morning person on a double espresso, while brass bursts and Europop effects turn Olatunji’s “Tun Fo Meh” into a relentless club banger, and the nylon-string guitar that Linky First adds to “Rock and Come In” makes the track even more seductive.
