The Complete Studio Albums

CCR couldn't have been more out of step with the prevailing rock trends in late-'60s California; instead of acid-drenched, psychedelic excursions, they offered catchy, concise, roots-oriented rock & roll tunes brimming with pop appeal. As a result, Creedence became one of the era's most successful singles bands. The seven albums they made between 1967 and 1972 overflow with classic rock staples tinged with country, blues, and folk. Some are from the pen of gruff-voiced frontman John Fogerty ("Bad Moon Rising," "Proud Mary"), and some are from a bygone rock era (versions of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You," Dale Hawkins' "Susie Q"). The band's entire studio output is here.
