Skuba Sada 2.5

Skuba Sada 2.5

Like a great wrestling heel, Detroit rapper Sada Baby’s gift is making his nastiest threats sound fun, even charming. Take “Black Harlow”: “Keep the party going like it's Mardi Gras/Got the flamethrower, made him body dog.” Or the Slick Rick-flipping “Bop Stick”: “Once upon a time, not long ago/Had ya bitch doin’ shit she was known for.” Skuba Baby 2.5 isn’t just an overhaul of 2020’s Skuba Baby 2 (itself a great introduction to his world), it’s a double-album catchall for stuff that hadn’t yet found a home: the monstrous “Blickelodeon,” the Nicki Minaj-featuring remix of “Whole Lotta Choppas,” a head-to-head with Snoop (“2 Freaks”). He just wants to have a good time—it just so happens that it’s at your expense.
