The scrappy Memphis rapper made his name in 2019 with “Shotta Flow,” the platonic ideal of a debut single and a showcase for his live-wire energy. Since then, it’s become tradition for NLE Choppa to drop an updated riff on his breakthrough every six months or so, retooling the bouncy beat or adding guest spots from Blueface, Chief Keef, and most recently, Brooklyn drill wunderkind Lil Mabu. All nine versions (so far, at least) are collected here in a time capsule of the rapper’s evolution.
