German producer Rajko Müller conquered clubs across Europe with his Caribbean-tinged breakout hit, "Beau Mot Plage," but far stranger pleasures awaited on his debut album, Rest. His drum machines are wreathed in the clicks and pops of digital clipping; his synths sound like they come from a cassette that's been left on the dashboard in the summer heat. He's got a real thing for dissonance, judging by the eerie vocals on "I Owe You" and the slippery jazz riffs of "Alleinunterhalter." It all sounds faintly wrong—but deliciously so.
