Los Extraterrestres is where Wisin & Yandel transformed their gritty street beats into towering sonic skyscrapers. “Sexy Movimento” uses reggaetón dembow as the foundation, then builds upward with buzzy synthesizers influenced by EDM. “Jangueo” distorts those synths even more, while ditching the dembow to experiment with stuttering rap percussion. It works in part because the duo’s tight, staccato flows are so distinct, their voices cutting through both the futuristic R&B of “Control” and the apocalyptic swirls of “Presión.”
