Ankur Tewari proves he’s a man for all seasons here. With a quiet, subtle voice that registers a certain sense of melancholy, he leads a singalong of Hindi vowels on “A Aa E Ee”, and sides with the kids when it comes to enjoying a lazy Sunday (“Mera Sunday”). He gets funky on the playground soundtrack “Oopar Neeche”, and encourages young ones to follow their dreams over the loping bass and duck-like effects of “Hocus Pocus”—while gently chiding them for mischief on the synth-pop track “Nikka Shararti”. Sometimes an ally, sometimes channelling his inner child, Tewari is never short of optimism on these bright, simple tunes.
