Scissor Sisters stay at the cutting edge of fabulous on their fourth album. The spaced-out “Baby Come Home” and the glitter-covered “Inevitable” recall the New York electro collective’s earlier fusions of ‘70s pop audacity and Y2K dancefloor bliss, but other tracks give Magic Hour a ‘10s jolt. “Let’s Have a Kiki” combines deliciously naughty party talk with a room-shaking beat, creating a sass-spangled banger; the Azealia Banks-assisted “Shady Love” pulses with a grimy, lustful energy; and “Somewhere” pairs Jake Shears’ downcast vocal with sparkling synths.
