Using Matthew 26:6 as a departure point for her sixth album Lavish Worship, Ntokozo Mbambo pieces uplifting lyrics together over intimate and soaring arrangements in a touching gesture of devotion to God. A wholesome musicality underpins these inspired outpourings as piano-driven ballads like “Fill Us Again” relay the album’s central themes of revival and replenishment. “God Still” sees the Umlazi native extol the faithfulness of the Lord alongside Mabongi, and “Makabongwe” embodies Mbambo’s praiseful mood.
