C.J. Ramone was credited with giving The Ramones a shot of youth during their final rounds, and it’s obvious here that C.J. wasn’t just a fan who became Dee Dee Ramone’s replacement but a musician who breathed the same rarified air as the legendary original foursome, who've all since passed. This is his second solo album, and he’s working with The Adolescents’ Steve Soto and Dan Root and Social Distortion’s David Hidalgo Jr. Songs such as “Understand Me?,” “Won’t Stop Swinging,” “One More Chance,” “Til the End,” and “Long Way to Go” capture the energy and catchiness of The Ramones, with C.J. being his own Ramone.
