Few bands have the sonic range, artistic ambition, or conceptual gall of Queen. Their greatest hits—containing chart-topping singles written by all four members of the band—feature musical trademarks, like stacked operatic harmonies and orchestral banks of guitar, but there’s a tremendous variety of musical forms on offer: They leap from greasy funk (“Another One Bites the Dust”) to ‘50s rock ‘n’ roll (“Crazy Little Thing Called Love”) to unorthodox and theatrical prog rock (“Bohemian Rhapsody”) with a swaggering confidence.
