End Hits

End Hits

End Hits feels like a sequel to 1995’s Red Medicine, refining that album's experimental ethos into a focused attack. “No Surprise” starts as a brittle strut but builds into a heavy, psych-washed groove that yields a molten guitar solo straight out of the ‘70s classic-rock playbook. That element of unpredictability is ever-present; just when the steamrolling shuffle of “Break” is set to explode, the song takes a lounge-pop detour, while “Arpeggiator” threads hypnotic guitar curlicues around an Autobahn-bound thrust.
