This Eden Muñoz-led quartet makes the kind of lively, accordion-driven corridos that put grupera music on the map. On their breakout 2012 release, the boys from Sinaloa are predominantly party-minded, singing of nights when morning comes too soon (“Aguaje Activado”), dancing with unattainable women (“Mujer De Todos, Mujer De Nadie”), and toasting as an antidote for heartache (“Lágrimas”). Still, they take a minute to depict the pitfalls of the narco life (“El Niño Sicarío”), foreshadowing their more socially conscious work.
