Hinder's third album gets sonic inspiration from brash Southern rock and grungy nu-metal. The jagged title track takes on redneck blues with a confident cowboy strut, while the nostalgic "Put That Record On" honors a memorable romance with rootsy guitar licks and easygoing hollers from vocalist Austin Winkler. Even the record's power ballads feel Nashville-tinted; the soaring, electrified twang of "What Ya Gonna Do"—a desperate depiction of a man dealing with heartbreak and regret through self-medication—could pass for a 21st-century country single.
