If there was ever any doubt about Kreator’s place atop the Euro-thrash food chain, Krushers of the World totally, um, crushes it. On killer lead single “Seven Serpents,” guitarist/vocalist Mille Petrozza uses serpents to represent the seven deadly sins and warns of the many snakes who come to us in human form. With a nasty riff and breakneck tempo, “Satanic Anarchy” encourages listeners to create a new reality by bringing down tyranny. “Tränenpalast” sees Petrozza duetting with extreme-metal vocal coach Britta Görtz on a song that combines the melody from Goblin’s soundtrack to the classic 1977 giallo Suspiria with the German name for the “Palace of Tears,” a border checkpoint where families were forced to separate during the Berlin Wall era.
