In the summer of 2016, Brian Collins headed into the studio to find “a new Kid Ink sound”, promising something “still radio-friendly but more diverse” than his previous records. His mission’s been accomplished on an EP where tropical-tinged summer jam “F With U” and semi-crooned relationship drama “Lottery” are irresistible calls to the dance floor, while “Supersoaka” and “Sway” set his bold innuendo to street-tough, mesmeric hip-hop. His flow remains typically low-key throughout, riding every change of mood and pace with appealing cool.
