“This month’s mix brings together a real mix of styles—I wanted to experiment a little and see where it took me,” Yulia Niko tells Apple Music. The DJ/producer’s set for October 2026 kicks off with “Self Control,” a thrumming cut from OSFUR, LAMPETEE, and UVITA, before cycling through an eclectic range of fresh, floor-filling sounds. That all leads into a soaring take on “Endless” by Budakid, remixed by Gerd Janson—one of Niko’s favorite live DJs. “This month also marks two years of my label AXEPT and our 50th release!” says Niko. “To celebrate, I’m releasing ‘Running,’ my collaboration with the Italian producer Etri. I played it recently at KOKO in London and got so many messages afterwards asking what it was. I guess that’s a good sign!”
