LUCKI inspires a unique kind of devotion from his most hardcore fans, which makes a project like Last Laugh the perfect gift for real heads and day-ones. Of course, LUCKI’s too talented to drop anything without wide appeal, so his 2026 archival release does both things at once: There are enough fresh ideas here to entice a fan who’s never heard his work, but also a number of unreleased tracks and snippets that are grails for LUCKI completists and diehards. “60 mgs,” for instance, has been a fan favorite since 2022, and it finally makes its streaming debut on this 2026 release. There’s a reason it’s become so popular: It effortlessly illustrates what makes LUCKI so exciting, namely his peerless beat selection and unpredictably coy flow. There are plenty of interesting experiments here too, like “okay, copy!,” which finds the Chicago MC cueing up an early-2000s trap-inspired beat and transporting himself to ATL.
